The two-story, 10,000 square foot Mediterra Beach Club is reminiscent of a Mediterranean villa, located on a 1.3 acre site on the white sands of Bonita Beach. Mediterra’s first golf challenge, the South Course, was designed by Fazio with rolling bunkers and landforms to complement the community’s Mediterranean countryside ambience. The approach shots are more challenging than the North Course and abundant view corridors from home sites overlook wetlands, nature preserves and reflecting lakes.
A Challenge and a Reprieve. The North Course, the second Tom Fazio designed championship golf course at Mediterra, contrasts yet complements, the South Course. The North Course features less formal bunkers and vast sand expanses that flow from green to tee on many holes. Tee shots are fair but demanding, placing more emphasis on accuracy. On the North Course, narrow fairways prove to be more challenging while approach shots to the greens are more forgiving.
A Fantasy Land. Parterre Garden is a whimsical world that will charm and delight you. Enjoy a sunset picnic, read a book on the lawn or just keep company with the cadre of fanciful frog fountains that animate the reflection pool. The formal, sculpted gardens are reminiscent of the community’s European influence and provide a serene respite.
