Building a community of homes for cancer patients
Each year, thousands of patients travel great distances to receive care at Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center. And for many, affording a place to stay might be the difference between receiving care or not. Taylor Morrison is ready to change that and has pledged support to Banner’s Home Away from Home program, which aims to provide all the comforts of home to those who need it most. By building a community located within walking distance to the Banner Gateway Medical Campus in Gilbert, Arizona, we will provide lodging for 160+ patients and their loved ones each year—giving them the assurance of a safe and comfortable home and community while receiving treatment.
The Home Edit
When The Home Edit co-founders Clea and Joanna learned about Taylor Morrison’s involvement with Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center’s Home Away from Home program, they were eager to join us. For Clea, the cause hits particularly close to home due to her own breast cancer journey. Once construction of the homes is complete in the summer 2024, Clea and Joanna will be lending their organizational expertise to help us create an even more welcoming and functional retreat. That way, recovery is the only thing on patients’ minds.
Donations
We know cancer treatment is complex and emotional, and we are proud to flex our strength as a homebuilder by building places of sanctuary for patients and their loved ones while they navigate this challenging time in their lives. Join us in our mission to provide patients with comfortable and complimentary lodging by making a direct donation to the Home Away from Home program.
