I’m purchasing a new home in a new community. How do I know that a Taylor Morrison home is a good buy?

How long is the new home warranty and what is covered?

We currently provide an assignable Limited Warranty as an expression of our confidence in the quality of your new home. In general, this Limited Warranty provides a 1-year warranty on workmanship, a 2-year warranty on certain systems, and a limited 10-year warranty on structural elements. However, this does not reflect the warranties for homes in California, and model homes and condominiums in certain jurisdictions that are subject to the statutory requirements.

Do you offer design services?

Getting your new home to look just right is a team effort. As a complimentary service just for our to-be-built homebuyers, Taylor Morrison offers design services to help you choose the right options and upgrades to make the most of your design studio budget. Taylor Morrison also offers Canvas® in select communities: Taylor Morrison’s own curated collections hand-picked by our team of designers. Whether you choose a Canvas collection or work one-on-one with a design consultant where available, all your questions about product lines, design styles, and more will be answered. 

I was recently at your design studio and noticed I could get better prices on some of the same items at a home improvement store. Why is this?

Actually, the perception that you get better prices at a home improvement store is false. Unlike with traditional retail stores, the price you pay at the Design Studio includes: 

  • Delivery/installation in time for move in
  • Warranty on every installed item
  • Cost rolled into your home mortgage
  • Sales tax-free purchase of items
  • Expert design advice/consultation

Do you offer financing?

We partner with our affiliated lender, Taylor Morrison Home Funding, Inc. (“Affiliated Lender”), to help you purchase the new construction home you've always wanted. Our Affiliated Lender will help you find the right mortgage to match your unique financial needs. Apply online or reach out to a member of our lending team to discuss lending options. You do not need to finance with our Affiliated Lender to purchase a home, but you must use both our suggested Closing Agent and Affiliated Lender for eligibility to certain incentives or other benefits. 

Where do you get furniture for model homes?

We work with design firms to fully furnish our model homes—every piece is carefully selected by a team of professionals. Our partners at MINE have curated the looks so you can shop your favorite furniture and décor online. Discover more here.

Do I need a real estate agent to purchase a Taylor Morrison home?

Whether you decide to use a real estate agent is entirely up to you. Although we work very closely with local real estate professionals in all our communities, you do not need an outside agent to buy a Taylor Morrison home. Although an exclusive representative of Taylor Morrison, our knowledgeable and professional Community Sales Manager can walk you through the entire process and answer any questions you may have.
