There are a few things to do prior to your appointment at the design studio to ensure you're getting the most out of your experience. Be sure that any buyers listed on the contract for your new home are present for appointment and have discussed and agreed upon the following: 

• Overall budget for design studio selections
• Areas where you are/are not willing to compromise
• Design aesthetic for your new home
• Fill out our Inspiration Guide, which can be found by selecting your local design studio above
• Familiarize yourself with your division's appointment guide and our appointment flow

Our design professionals will work with you to create a beautiful home based on your budget. There are elements and spaces you can focus on—typically design studio upgrades range from 5-12% of the home purchase price.

If you'd like to visit the Design Studio in-person before your appointment, you can drop in on Wednesdays in select markets to learn about, see, and touch the products available for your new home. If you cannot make it to a Discover Design Day, the best way to prepare for your appointment is to gather examples of design inspiration from magazines, websites, Pinterest, and other model homes.
